Mall Road, Shimla - A 180 degree view

A 180 degree view of the mall road, in front of Comarsons (English spelling, eh?), Tomyka (and what might this be?), anchored with the two photographs below. Did not notice it then, but the sky is so spotless and blue!

Nagar Nigam Shimla - has been marked as a heritage building if I remember correctly. The grey stones look nice for a while, but as they grow on you, they do seem to strangle you. What if the building was red or green or white? I think it would have looked nice.

The red tower in the background looks like a clock-tower. Need to check if it really is so. Clock-towers, a legacy of the past. There is such joy in measuring, isn't it? number of hours elapsed, number of miles gone by, the decimal points by which the sensex rose today, the weight lost today, and now you even get meters that tell you number of calories burnt and the number of steps taken in a day. Dunno but humans seem to like measuring a lot, and do get addicted to it.
